  • This started as an anti-arabic sentiment, but now it has grown more

  • خ ‘kh’ from the epiglotis

yek (یِک) do (دُه) seh (سِه) chahr (چاهار) panch (پَنج) shish (شیش) haft (هَفت) hasht (هَشت) noh (نُه) dah (دَه)

zero is sefr (سِفر)

  • 6 gets written two different ways, sometimes with urdu-like letters

  • 8 is ‘hasht’, which is a lot like R:sanskrit

  • ‘h’ sound also becomes ‘eh’ if it’s preceded by a letter with no vowel
