• Gun Rights Activists threaten violence if the government were to come for its guns, some of them suggesting a Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo

• By 2019, this phrase mostly shrunk to ‘the boogaloo’, and expanded to other hashtags like boogaloo2020, “being boogaloo ready”, boojahideen and boogaloobois etc

• Boogaloo meme has spread to other movements like the minarchists and anarcho-capitalists

• Accelerationist white supremacist groups have been particularly quick to adopt “boogaloo” - they seek the violent collapse of modern society in order to bring about a new white-dominated world

• However, “boogaloo” as a phrase is still used jokingly and occasionally by the right to mock the gun-ho adherents of their own movement
